The Snake

This has been a summer for snakes. I'm not sure why, maybe the cooler temps? This one was in the chicken coop (chicken poop as Grady says). The boys came screaming "there is a snake" over and over. So, I found my shovel and went in. I wouldn't say I am NOT scared of them, but I can kill them. Especially when my kids are around. I actually killed 3 in less than a week. This was the biggest. Some of you might have heard about the 'one' in my pantry. He looked just like this one. I'd like to think they're the same one, but....I know better. The one that was in my pantry came up through the floor of my gutted bathroom. Yes, it's still gutted if you remember back in April I posted some pics of what I found when I came home one night after work. ANYWAY......the snake in the pic had just eaten an egg and you could see it just behind his head. I took liberty to place the shovel directly behind the egg (I like to get them behind the head) and accidently cracked it. He didn't get to enjoy that one. The boys enjoyed seeing the yolk come back out. Sorry, that is disgusting, but you must understand that I live with boys. And, lots of them! :o) I find myself being less girly and more like a boy all the time!?? :o) :o( The boys also had their BB guns thinking they could shoot at him. Did you know that BB's just bounce off snakes? :) This one, Wylie shot in his mouth to try and kill him. It was funny, he says "I got him" and tried it again and again.... . oh my. Boys are fun! :o)

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to my husband of 14 years today! I can't believe how fast time flies! We been through many good times. It's hard to believe we have four children, (until I come home anyway, then reality hits me in the face. LOL) These are our children and they call us their parents. What a privilege to know that God entrusted us with his children! I pray we have many, many more years together. I hope we can do something to celebrate, but we're so spontaneous that time will tell I guess. Life is very busy right now but some things you need to take time for, right? Take time to remember the freshness of your love with your honey. There is no reason it can't still be like that, right? A marriage is what you make it. It reflects what you put into it! So, go and make your man feel loved and needed. Dote on him and see how he responds. Love him for who he is, not who you want him to be. Just love, love, love.....life is too short.......and forgive him for whatever he might have done/not done, like God your Father does YOU! :o)
